HDRC recently gave conceptual approval to a proposed multifamily development, Heritage Plaza. Austin based developer, Argyle Residential, is proposing a 327 unit, 5 story multifamily project with a 5.5 story parking structure on the 2.5 acre site. The project will wrap around a historic property that is not owned by Argyle. Other than resident amenity space, the project currently has no plans for ground floor commercial use. This is Argyle’s second residential development in downtown San Antonio. They recently completed The Rivera, along the Broadway corridor.
This project comes on the heels of Greystar’s Argyle multifamily just across the river and joins several other mid-rise multi-family projects under construction and design in the urban core that have seen strong absorption in the market.
In order to make way for the project, the Heritage Plaza office building was demolished earlier this year, check out footage of the demo on BexarWitness.
