Officials with UT Health and community leaders recently gathered in Boerne to formally dedicate UT Health Hill Country. Located on 25723 Old Fredericksburg Road in Boerne, the 19,000-square-foot clinic now offers a wide range of services, including primary care, orthopaedics, radiology, physical therapy, urology, behavioral health and lab services. At the ribbon-cutting, Dr. William Henrich, president of UT Health, said UT Health Hill Country provides the resources and atmosphere of an academic health center in an idyllic Hill Country setting off Interstate 10.

Henrich said his institution is eyeing developing similar practices elsewhere in the Hill Country, which is experiencing more and more new residents and businesses. “We hope this is just the beginning. We hope to (open clinics) more and more around the city,” Henrich said in a news release. Dr. Carlos Rosende, executive director of the physicians of UT Health San Antonio, praised the variety of services offered at the new clinic. He explained the clinic is connected to the more than 700 physicians in 120 specialties across the entire UT Health physician practice.
Alamo Architects designed and Bartlett Cocke General Contractors built the complex, which includes exam rooms, conference rooms, physician offices, waiting rooms and a full-service imaging center with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), CT scan technology and general X-ray facilities.
