VIDEO: Demo Makes Way for Downtown Housing Development

Demolition was under way this weekend on the Heritage Plaza building.  A blank slate makes way for Dallas developer, Encore Multi-Family LLC, to move forward on a mixed use development.  The project partners want to build a 338-unit, five-story multi-family community around a six-story, 422-space parking garage in the 300 block of South Flores Street and the 400 block of South Main Avenue. The ground floor of the community is envisioned to possibly include space for retail/commercial use.

Dallas firms JHP Architecture and MESA Design Group did the conceptual designs. Dallas-based Encore Enterprises, a real estate development company, created BRT River Walk as a limited liability firm.  Encore has experience in management and construction in the hospitality, retail, and multi-family market segments. Encore developed Encore 281, a 228-unit apartment complex that opened in far North Central San Antonio in 2015.

This demolition is not for Encore. Encore is being built on a completely different block. This is the Landbridge development.
