Voters Approve $500M in School District Bonds

Voters in the Judson Independent School District approved a $60 million proposal. The money will be used to do a second scheduled phase of construction at Veterans Memorial High School in the northern part of the district.

The Alamo Heights Independent School District’s $135 million bond. All existing facilities will see some level of improvements and additions. Alamo Heights High School is slated to add a multipurpose structure, a new dining section, a culinary arts classroom facility, more parking, and renovations to the athletic complex. Alamo Heights Junior School will get a new classroom building that will specialize in Science Technology Engineering Math education.  A new district natatorium is planned for Robbins Academy, which will also see the construction of an outdoor area for physical education.

Voters in the Southside Independent School District approved a $59.7 million bond. Money will be used to build a shared pre-kindergarten and kindergarten campus, renovations to four existing elementary schools, and expansion of Losoya Intermediate and Southside High schools.

The Comal Independent School District’s $263.5 million bond was approved. Money will be used to construct two new high schools, HVAC upgrades at four existing campuses, 30 new buses, and land acquisition for four future schools.
